France international midfielder Samir Nasri has claimed they are happy to face Spain. France ended as a runner up in group D and Nasri was one of the better performer for the team.
Speaking with the BBC Nasri said Spain are not favourites for the tournament and Germans have impressed him the most. Nasri is happy to get Spain in Quarter finals rather then playing against Italy. France’s unbeaten 23 match run was ended by Sweden in last match of the group stage.
Talking with reporters Nasri said.”Spain and Italy are both hard to play against and, in my opinion, the Italians are harder to play against as they line up with five defenders and three defensive midfielders who push up. Spain like to play football, but France has always done well against the Spanish in a major tournament. We might get more room against the Spanish.”
Analysing last match’s team performance Nasri said.”If we play like we did against Sweden we haven’t got any chance of beating Spain. We know this.”
