Euro Cup Group D Match
Two expected winners will be fighting in their opener game in the Euro cup. England will be playing without Rooney as Carroll will be their main striker.
The Three Lion’s opener clash will be against France in Euro 2012 and Hodgson worries about French attacking threat. Hodgson’s main obstacle through out will be the injuries that came into action during the training session. France has been outstanding in their recent matches which will help them to start with confidence in the group matches.
France has been out of this word if we talk about the recent form. Laurent Blanc’s side are undefeated since last 21 games. Their recent matches in 2012 includes 4 games which were all on their hand. They won against Germany on February on July and won all their three matches in recent pre-tournament friendly matches which helped them climb two steps ahead in the FIFA Ranking. They have been able to grab two clean sheets out of their four matches in 2012.
England’s last 2 friendly matches has cost them much as Gary Cahill’s fractured jaw can get English on defensive fault. England has not been able to perform as expectation as Hodgson’s team although has 4 wins out of their five matches, they were not seen in great catch in their recent matches. They lost to Netherlands in their clash in February and won to Belgium and Norway not much than by a goal.
Their recent meeting shows France’s win when the Les Blues won it 2-1 back in 2010.
Lineup and Updated team news will be added later.
-Loic Remy is out of tournament with a hip injury.
-Lampard, Cahill, Barry and Ruddy are out due to injuries.
-Terry is declared fit for the tournament.
