Casillas: We are Our Own big Rivals on Euro
Real Madrid Goal Keeper says that Spain can be their own rivals on the Euro cup as all their opponents know the way they play.
Casillas says that it would be difficult for Spain to keep their title as they might be their own rival. The Real Madrid star feels it difficult to defend their title but insists that his lads are capable of doing so.
Spain are 2008 Euro and 2010 world cup winners and rank number 1 on world today. If they win the Euro cup this time, they will be the first ever team to successfully defend the Euros.
“The national team has more than enough in our play. The main rival will be ourselves for the effort, the desire and the attitude that we have to win it,” says Casillas.
He says that the Spanish team has experiences on winning titles which might help them but he fears that every team known how they play and they do not need to study Spain.
Casillas also admits that absence of David Villa and Carles Puyol might be a major one in the Euros as Barcelona Duos has great role executed in both 2008 and 2012.
Spain are with Crotia, Italy and Ireland on Group C.
