Berbatov: “Sir Alex Ferguson didn’t keep his words”

The Bulgarian striker revealed he wants to leave Manchester United in order to get his carrer back on track.

The Bulgarian striker moved from Tottenham Spurs to Manchester United four years ago for a transfer fee  of 30 million.Berbatov made 21 appearances for Manchester United this season.Beabatov claimed Sir Alex Ferguson didnt made good on his promises to give him more opportunities.

Speaking with The Sun Berbatov said “We talked 10 times, he told me there would be a place for me but I stayed on the benchHe believes it was not his time at Manchester United and he does not feel he is a valuable part at the club at the present.He also thinks he did well in the all the opportunities he got. Berbatov stated he is a little frustrated by this and its time for him to move on and lead his career to a better path and seek for a better opportunity he deserves.

“I’m looking for a new place now. I know I can still play at the highest level.”

According to reports Manchester United’s rivals Liverpool are seemed to be interested in signing the 31 year old striker but the Italian side Lazio are more likely to sign him according to his agent as he wants to leave England.
