Roy Hodgson has announced that Rooney is nursing a secret Toe injury that he is following from a week and will not be able to feature in friendly game.

Rooney will be missing the friendly match on Oslo along with the players who are selected on English squad and played Champions league final. Hodgson also informed that Rooney and the remaining Champions league final squad will be joining England team on practice on May 29.
Even though he said that there is chance of Rooney’s return on may 29 but he could not assure if Rooney can make it for the pre-Euro friendly match against Belgium. Even though Rooney will be on practice, Hodgsen stated that he is not sure if he will be picking Rooney in squad against Belgium or not. This may be because Hodgson wants Rooney to heal completely before Euro cup as Rooney’s absence might highly cost English team.
Rooney has been banned for first two games in the group stage of Euro cup as reason for kicking Miodrag Dzudovic in the qualifiers against Montenegro on October.
