Carles Puyol Likely to Miss Euro Cup 2012
It has been announced that Barcelona skipper will not be featured on the Copa Del Rey Final due to problem on right knee. It has been announced that he needs six weeks of rest for recovery which provides additionally evidence on Puyol to miss Euro Cup 2012.
As announced on the Barcelona official website, the Catalan Captain is sure to miss out the Copa Del Rey Final against Athletic Bilbao on May 25 which is the 108th final from its establishment.
Puyol experienced pain on his right knee during his game against Espanyol which he mentioned only after the 90th minute of the game. Following the tests, medical advisers have decided to have arthroscopy and the Catalan skipper will need about 6 weeks of rest for his complete recovery. This timeline would overlap the event that is about to kick off in Poland and Ukraine after 31 days from today.
Spain will be missing their third captain Carles Puyol as he is to go under surgery on May 12 and he will need complete 42 days of rest but Spain’s first clash is against Italy on June 10 which is after 28 days of his surgery if calculated.
