QPR sign Christopher Samba as Harry Redknapp eyes new Central pair

Ex-Blackburn Captain Christopher Samba is set to return to Premier League as he signs for relegation battlers Queens Park Rangers while Roger Johnson is also eyed on.

Cristopher Samba is in Russia playing for Anzhi but reports say he is not happy there.

Samba, who is in London to complete his move to London club is said to have passed medical and close to complete move to Harry Redknapp’s side.

On 24 February 2012, Samba completed a move to Anzhi on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee thought to be in the region of £12.3 million which he will earn a £100,000-a-week at Anzhi.

Samba captained Blackburn before he departed too Russian club.

The fee is yet to be agreed but it is believed that the transfer will be done in a one installment and full cash deal.

QPR are also said to be looking for Wolves defender Roger Johnson who was excellent for relegated side Birmingham in 2010/11 and Wolves in 2011/12.
